Founded back in 1986 and fronted by UK ska legend Gaz Mayall (who still hosts London's long-running night club Gaz's Rockin' Blues Club), the band are a mixture of ska, reggae, pop and Gaelic rhythms. This CD spans The Trojans' career and features classics like "Gaelic Ska," "Brother Can You Spare A Pound?," "Ringo" and "The Great British Spliff." This CD features the best tracks from their albums "Ala-Ska," "Wild & Free," "Skalalitude," "Spirit Of Adventure" and "Cool Rulers." Moon Ska Europe were so impressed by the output that The Trojans have had on the International Ska Scene, that in 1998 they decided to release a Best of compilation by the band.

This 18 track cd contains hits including Ringo, Gaelic Ska, Lumpi and Brother Can You Spare A Pound?, and it is a monster collection of all of your favourite tunes by The Trojans, covering their triumphant recording career from Ala Ska to Cool Rulers.

If you, criminally, do not own any albums by The Trojans, then this cd would be a good starting point before you rush back to purchase the other albums. Check out this compilation, as it is hotter than the Sun.
