Review - THE TROJANS : rebel blues

The Trojans have always mixed ska with elements of Blues, & Gaz Mayall thought that it would be a good idea to release an album for his Blues fans.

Rebel Blues is prodominantly a love affair of the Blues, but you will find a couple of ska tracks appearing on the cd for good measure. Some of these songs were recorded as far back as 1983, yet they still sound like they were recorded today.

Crowd favourites Girls Don't Like It & Maggie Meets Ska - Gill have the class Trojans trademark, while the other 14 tracks boogie your bones with a fusion of skanked up Blues that I can only describe as damn hot.

Rebel Blues is an innovative album, well before its time, & it is no surprise why Blues enthusiasts all over the world have shouted ' release it again ' from the mountains and rooftops of global Earth.
