ABOUT JOHNJOHN RECORDS:

JohnJohn records is a small music label founded and managed by Benoit Viellefon in 1999. Over the years people came in and out. We've never followed the trends and the focus remained the same: real music and good time and good people.

Music Production:

JohnJohn records have produced a couple of albums with various bands, and collaborated with producers including Benoit Viellefon, Peter Dry, Rick Baxendale (Universal Publishing), Mark Huggett ( Jazz Direct), Rubber Spanner (shriek Music Ltd). See Discography.

Songwriting:

Benoit Viellefon is our main writer. He has written for the BBC, Channel4, JohnJohn ( with Anthony Worn), World music group Mogador, Gaz Mayall's band The Trojans, Jazz Direct, Film makers Bert& Bertie and Film director Gaelle Denis, Ta Mère, and eventually his own band Benoit and his Orchestra... Events - Swing Club Nights:

JohnJohn records orgnise a regular club night dedicated to swing dancing called Swing Mon Amour. It is currently hosted at the Fiddlers Elbow (LondonCamden) every third friday of the month.The club boasted some some the best dancers, and best Djs on the circuit (Natty Bo, El Nino, Lady Kamikaze, Jean Paul Séculaire, Tim Hellzapoppin, Tow Kerwin, Sacha Dieu...) and regular appearances of bands such as Top Shelf Jazz, King Candy & the Sugar Push featuring the Puppini Sister singer Kate Mullin, Big Mamma's Door, Jules & The Gamblers, La Belle Vie, Rhytme Futur, Trio Manouche, The Untouchables, Benoit & His Orchestra, The Hep Chaps and more. Events - Private events:

JohnJohn records takes part or organise private events, mainly with a live performance of Benoit & His Orchestra or Benoit Viellefon Hot Club in the uK and abroad too as far as Russia and Japan. Events so far have included small intimate garden parties, to bigger ones for the like of people in the House of Lords, celebrities, diplomats, very large corporates, the film industry but also weddings and many so called normal people that wanted to have a good time.
